Recently we just signed a contract to build our new home with Ivory Homes. This will be our first time building a home so I'm very excited. We have bought brand new car, brand new clothes, brand new everything but we have never bought a brand new home. I'm excited to see what's the brand new home smell like. It is fun but also overwhelming. We have to pick out EVERYTHING ourselves. From colors of exterior, cabinets, counter tops, floors, carpet, walls, etc. Some of it are included in the package and some of it are upgrades which mean will be lots more money on top of what we already signed contract for. The model we have chosen is a
Hanover and we love it so much. At first I thought the house is a little too big for 4 of us but now I don't think it's big at all. I think it's a decent size and love to pieces of it.
So as planned we will have several meetings before the ground breaking. First will be the color meeting where we will be able to choose the colors for everything and upgrades. Second will be architecture meeting where we will decide if we would like to move walls, remove walls, etc. Third will be a pre-constructional meeting. This is an important meeting and also money meeting. This is where we bring in the construction deposit.
Well, it sounds fun but also lots of work. I will share with you as it comes to where the ground will be breaking and share the process of it.
